TO WEAVE A HIGHLAND TAPESTRY
(A Tale from the
Order of the Dragon Knights)
By Mary Morgan
Today is the eleventh
snippet in this series. Today I am hosting Mary Morgan. Gwen is looking to escape
but cannot find a way out. Patrick, sick with a fever finds her in the courtyard
that is deep with snow. What will she do to get him to return inside?
Tagline:
Do they dare unravel
the past for a future of love?
Blurb:
Patrick MacFhearguis, hardened by battles won and lost, desires
what he can never have—peace within his heart and soul.  Yet, the
ever-meddling Fae weave a new journey for him to conquer—a task this highlander
is determined to resist.
When skilled weaver, Gwen Hywel, is commissioned to create a
tapestry for the MacFhearguis clan, she embraces the assignment. While seeking
out ideas, she finds herself clutching the one thread that can alter the
tapestry of her life and heart.
A man conflicted by
past deeds. A woman with no family of her own. Is it possible for love to
unravel an ancient past, in order to claim two badly scarred hearts? Or will
the light of hope be doused forever?

His smile disarmed her
barriers. She was captivated by this giant. Returning a smile of her own, Gwen
tugged gently. “I will make a deal with you. Once you have recovered, I would
like you to escort me around Urquhart—from the grounds to the highest tower.”
He tilted his head to
the side. “Even if there is snowfall?”
“Yes.”
“And ye will tell me
the truth about why ye fled?”
She laughed softly.
“You drive a hard bargain, MacFhearguis, but I agree to your terms.”
Leaning near, he gazed
into her eyes and put his hand over hers. “A bargain I shall hold ye to.”
